Kitchens are one of the most frequented rooms in the house, but at times they aren’t as functional as we’d want. This could be because of a lack of space, room, or storage. The good news is that it can be a fairly easy fix to provide extra counter space, or options for pan storage. At Kitchen Dimensions, we take pride in providing solutions to typical kitchen issues with a remodel that works for you, your family, and guests that may visit. Take a look at a few simple ways that you can add new life (and space) to your kitchen.

● Bigger Walkways – Nothing can be more cumbersome than trying to squeeze through a tight walkway with a person on one side and you’re carrying a hot pot of water. Having a wide walkway between the countertops is essential for a safe kitchen environment.
● What Exactly Is The Function of a Kitchen Island – A kitchen island is an extension of your existing kitchen. It could just be extra counter space, it could be extra storage, where you have the dishwasher, the sink, the microwave or so many other things. Some kitchens actually have it where the island is where everything is taken care of with the rest of the countertop space can be for a Keurig or other storage.
● Hang It Up – Instead of having all of your cooking utensils in a drawer, set something up behind your stove where they can hang up for easy access. Ladles, soup spoons, spaghetti spoon, and more have a spot to be hung up. All you’ll need is some hooks. Wooden utensils and other items that might not have that spot can be put in a canister for easy access. This is also the perfect spot to have a spice rack set up. Your cooking experience will be done with ease when you have everything at your fingertips.

● Hidden Knives – If you don’t want your knives out on the countertop in that traditional knife block, an alternative is to put it in the drawer. Now I don’t mean just toss them in a drawer because that would be a safety issue. Have a drawer dedicated to your knives and a retractable cutting board. Your knives can be held in slots to protect your fingers and the blade from dulling. The cutting board can not only be an extra level of protection but it can be a convenient place to keep your cutting board.
